Trip to the province of Takeo, the birthplace of the resulting under Indian influence Khmer civilization, and so the Cambodian silk with a tradition of almost two thousand years (90 miles) approximately 2 h drive away. Ride across the water channels of the ancient Funan on a small speedboat to the Temple Phnom Da (6.-century). On the way we stop in the town of Angkor Borei Funan to visit the museum. Return to Takeo, and visit the Ta Prohm temple (12.-Century) the lake Tonle Bati. Visit to the silk-weaving village Tanorn. Stay overnight in Phnom Penh.

Trip to the province of Kampong Chhnang (90 km, 1.5 hours drive). Visit to a pottery village. On the way back stop in the ancient capital of Oudong (17.-19 cent.) And visit to the nearby village of Kampong Luong with more than 100 silversmiths families. Stay overnight in Phnom Penh.

Detailed Itinerary:
In the morning depart to the province of Ratanakiri (400 km, about 7-9 hours drive). Before Sunset drive to a volcanic lake situated in the forest Yaklaom. Have opportunity to swim. Dinner and overnight in Banlung in a lake situated Terres Rouges Lodge.

Detailed Itinerary:
Drive towards to the north-east by changing forest areas to the village of minorities in Voeune Saï on the left side of the Sé San River, with a view to a Chinese village on the other river side. The Chinese village lives like an enclave on the territory of Cambodia - the majority of residents for generations speak almost exclusively Chinese, and no Khmer. Upstream, there are several villages of Tampouns who are famous for their stone sculpture works. If possible we rent a small boat to reach the village of Ka Choanae and visit a traditional cemetery. Get picnic on midday by the way. Have dinner and accommodation at Terres Rouges Lodge.

RatanakiriDrive north to the village Taveng.
Detailed Itinerary:
Drive north to the village Taveng. En route we pass through the area Veyrum Plang, which is of volcanic origin, with a lake and volcanic rocks. The ride through the wooded area at first leads to lava, and then on to a small waterfall, but is active only during the rainy season. Nearby are caves former big wild cats. It goes through wooded roads to the villages of Kroeung. The more we remove ourselves from Banlung, the more lush and beautiful is the forest. After 2 / 3 of the way a right turn leads to a village with its impressive Kroeung bachelors houses (depending on the season). When the bachelor had performed the marriage, the tower will be demolished, and a subsequent bachelor needs to establish in the following season, a new bachelor's skyscraper. After a midday picnic we visit to another nearby village of Kroeung. Return to Terres Rouges Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Ratanakiri - KratieVisit the market of Banlung
Detailed Itinerary:
Morning ride on an elephant (or visit) from a nearby waterfall, Market then visit the market of Banlung. We leave to Kratie at 10:30. Arrive at the historic site Roka Kandal Pagoda against 15:00 pm. Continuation to Kratie (15 km) and visit the Irrawaddy river dolphins from a boat. Return to Roka Kandal and overnight in a guesthouse.

If desired, you do about 6:30, a second trip to Kratie. Continue to Kampong Thom (400 km, 5-6 hour drive). The journey leads through rubber plantations, which were run back in the 30s by the French. En route visit the temple Wat Nokor (11.-century), near the provincial town of Kampong Cham. Continuing on the road to Kampong Thom and visit the pagodas Phnom Pros and Phnom Srei. Stay overnight at hotel in Kampong Thom.

On the way back stop at the temple of Banteay Samre (Suryavarman II, 1113-1150), East Mebon, Pre Rup and Prasat Kravan (10. century). Afternoon: Visit Angkor Wat (Suryavarman II). Towards sunset, we drive to the Temeple Mountain Bakhaeng (900 AD), which offers a fantastic view of the entire temple area of Siem Reap, lake Tonle Sap and the lake Western Baray. Morning visit the great capital of Angkor Thom (10.-15 cent.) To the south gate of Angkor Thom, the Bayon, Terrace of the Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper King, the 12 Prasat Suor Prat, all built under King Jayavarman VII (1181-1220). Furthermore see the Baphuon, the Phimeanakas, the Northern and Southern Khleang, all temples of the 11th Century. In the afternoon visit another temple of Jayavarman VII: Preah Khan, Neak Pean, Ta Prom.
