Arrive in the capital, our tour guide will welcome you from the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Please look for Asia Tour Advisor Welcome board for pickup we then visit Phnom Penh's main attractions including the National Museum, the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. National Museum of Cambodia, constructed between 1917 and 1924, is Cambodia’s largest museum of cultural history and is the country’s leading historical and archaeological museum. This building was designed by George Groslier, a French historian, creator and author. Visit the museum, the visitors will see many collections of sculptures during the Khmer Empire and many statues such as bronze and stone statues…Next to the museum is the Royal Palace, the residence of the Khmer Kings. Royal Palace was built in the 1860s after King Norodom relocated the royal capital from Oudong to Phnom Penh. There are many buildings that visitor can see when discovering the area of the Royal Palace such as the Throne Hall, Moonlight Pavilion, Silver Pagoda…However, the most special building in the Royal Palace complex is the Silver Pagoda because its floor was covered by 5000 silver tiles. The pagoda houses many national treasures like gold and jeweled statue. The most notable statue of the pagoda is the Emerald Buddha statues and a life-sized gold Maitreya Buddha decorated with 9584 diamonds.

Explore this ever changing metropolis, taking in Wat Phnom and the Russian Market as well as the Tuol Sleng Museum and the poignant Killing Fields. Visitors will have a day looking into the past and the future of these enchanting and energetic people.
Wat Phnom means “Temple of the mountain” or “Mountain Pagoda” in Khmer, was built in 1373. This 27-meter-high pagoda is the tallest religious structure in the capital with spiral style. After visiting Wat Phnom with its special architectural structure, we will lead to the Russian Market to be fallen into its bustling atmosphere. The Russian Market is the most well-known foreign market in Cambodia and is the must-visit place for any visitors. Visitors will be surprised with many types of goods in the market such as silk, jewelry, clothes. The Russian market will give you the most interesting moments in Cambodia. However, when you want to buy jewelry, be careful with the fake! Say goodbye to the excitement of the Russian Market, we will arrive at the Toul Sleng Museum and the Killing Fields. The Toul Sleng Museum, also known as the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum, was used as a prison camp named S-21 in the Khmer Rouge Regime. This is also the most perfect evidence of the darkest part in the Cambodian history. When discovering inside the museum, visitors can see many tools for torturing and other things that turned this place into a horrific prison from a lovely primary school. Adjacent to the Museum is the Killing Fields with many corpses of innocent prisons, an indisputable evidence of the brutality of the Khmer Rouge Regime.

Transfer to Stung Treng and take a boat ride out to Thala Bariwatt historical site. Stung Treng marks Cambodia’s northern border with Laos and the point where the Mekong River enters Cambodia. Originally a part of Laos, Stung Treng switched to Cambodian ownership during the French period and to this day you hear Lao spoken in town. The name Stung Treng means “River of Reeds” in Khmer and it’s the capital of the province which has the same name. The visitors will enjoy the quiet and poetics of the scenes of riverside in Stung Treng as well as the sunset view. However, our trip to Stung Treng will not stop at seeing the romantic view of riverside and sunset but we will visit Thala Bariwatt, also known as Thala Barivat, a district of Stung Treng. Like Stung Treng, the most spectacular scenes in Thala Bariwatt are also created by awesome river, the Mekong River. Visitors can take many photos of the activities of the people like monks and locals as well as wildlife such as the dolphins or the majestic scenes when the river runs wild. This will add many unforgettable pictures to your album of Cambodia and the Mekong River.

Today we will drive to Banlung, capital of Ratanakiri Province. There will be the chance to swim in Boeng Yeak Lom Lake, before heading for Cha Ong Waterfall. It can be said that Banlung is the best place for anyone who wants to discover the wilderness of Cambodia. Heavily forested and a house of twelve different ethnic minority groups, Banlung is a perfect area for get real information and photos of the wildest of Cambodia. Visitors can see many small villages with many shacks as well as spectacular waterfalls or even go inside a local’s house to experience their daily life before swim and enjoy one of the most wonderful scenes created by nature, the sweet rays, in Boeng Yeak Lom Lake and the awesomeness of Cha Ong Waterfall when it flows. At the end of the day, we will walk up Eisey Pak Ta Mak Mountain to admire the sunset.

Today we will drive out to Ven Sai village to meet some ethnic minority groups. In this village you will experience the daily life of people who live a life completely different than that in other parts of the world. Afterwards visit Ka Chanh Waterfall. Kachang Waterfall is situated 6km. north - west of Banlung. This Waterfall is located in the Kontung stream and flows into the Sre Pok River. The height of it is 12 m. and the water flows and falls throughout the year. A beautiful or magnificent landscape and huge amounts of fresh mist surround the waterfall. The visitors can take a bath and sit to look at the waterfall and other natural scenic beauties. Or the visitors can also go around viewing other natural sights on foot or taking an elephant ride.

This morning transfer via Stung Treng to Kratie, and then take a boat to observe the endangered fresh water Irrawaddy dolphins in the Mekong River. As few as 80 dolphins remain in the waters, and while there are ongoing and comprehensive conservation projects underway, dolphin mortality remains high. Dolphins aside, Kratie province is known for its pleasing riverside scenery and verdant villages and rice paddies.

Kratie - Kompong ChamGo to Kompong Cham, explore temples of Phnom Srei and Phnom Pros

En route to Kompong Cham, stop at a rubber plantation and the historical hill temples of Phnom Srei and Phnom Pros. Phnom Pros and Phnom Srei is located at Kro La Commune, Kampong Siem District in 7km from the provincial town of Kampong Cham. The northern part of Phnom Srei and Phnom Pros of Kampong Cham is surrounded by spectacular mountains of Dang Rek, Ba Ley and Chhuk. The mountain of Srei has pointed peak and can be climbed up by 308 Stair steps. At the top, there is a ruined temple, with a few nuns and no monks who stay to maintain and collect contribution to rebuild the temple. In Khmer, the name Phnom Srei and Phnom Pro mean Man Hill and Woman Hill respectively and it associated with a historical story about a Queen who had reign the Khmer Kingdom named “Srey Authyia”.

Before arriving in Siem Reap, discover Sambor Prei Kuk Temple Group, an important cultural and historical site and one that is rarely visited by tourists. Located on Eastern bank of Tonle Sap, the central part of Sambor Prei Kuk is divided mainly into three groups. The structures of the overall archaeological area were constructed at variable times: the southern groups and north (7th century), and the central group (later). The buildings of Sambor Prei Kuk are characteristic of the Pre-Angkorean period with a simple external plan. The principal material is brick, but sandstone is also used for certain structures. Moreover, visitors coming here can enjoy one of the most unique combinations between nature and man-made masterpiece, the strangler-fig-covered temple.

After visiting the Angkor Thom complex, we will lead to the world biggest and best-preserved Hindu temple, the Angkor Wat temple. This must-visit temple is not only the symbol of Cambodia but also the perfect epitome of the classical Khmer architecture and it is the presence of integrity, justice and heritage as in the Cambodian flag. A long bridge will take you to the main part of the Angkor Wat, the Temple City. The Angkor Wat complex consists of five temples with a large central temple surrounded by four smaller one. The wall around the temple is very special and valuable because it describes many activities of the ancient Khmer people by the picture carved on it. Go inside, you will be surprised by the mystics of the atmosphere of the temple with the light fall down inside when afternoon.
